Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submissions

We welcome original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications in all areas of functional education. Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting.

Manuscript Preparation

Ensure your manuscript meets all formatting requirements before submission. Incomplete or incorrectly formatted submissions will be returned without review.

1 Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English
2 Include abstract of 150–250 words and 5–7 keywords
3 Use APA 7th Edition referencing style throughout
4 Research articles: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references)
5 Review papers: up to 10,000 words
6 All figures and tables should be numbered and captioned
7 Remove all author identifying information for blind review

Review Process

AJFE employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.

1 Initial editorial screening (within 5 working days)
2 Assignment to two independent peer reviewers
3 Peer review period: 3–6 weeks
4 Author notified of decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject
5 Revision resubmission reviewed by original reviewers
6 Final decision and acceptance notification

✓ Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection; all submissions are screened
